Timing Belts

One of the most important maintenance items is an engine timing belt. Modern high powered, small displacement motors are of a high valve lift, high compression design (known as collision) that can lead to serious engine damage if any part of the timing belt system fails. When replacing the timing belt it is highly recommended that you replace the belt tensioner, roller and water pump. More often than not, it is not the timing belt that fails, but one of the bearing driven accessories that seize causing the belt to fail. Geneva Foreign & Sports recommends servicing the timing system on a performance tuned vehicle every 60k miles.

Timing belts are our specialty. We have all of the special tools to repair your Audi and complete the job efficiently and promptly. We take extra care in each timing belt job that we perform and upgrade your water pump from its weak plastic impeller to a steel lifetime impeller. We also use factory Audi G12 coolant in your car so that it has the same protection as it did when it left the factory.

We always replace your tensioner pulleys, idlers pulleys and hydraulic tensioner whenever we perform one of these jobs to guarantee a perfect outcome. No one wants to run into a pulley failure only months later to have to perform a $4000 cylinder head repair job. Spending a little extra money now will save you thousands in the future.

Check Engine Lights
