About 30 years ago, Dan FitzGerald pursued his desire for a higher standard of automotive service. It is a story of hobby turned business; of a young man with a passion for vintage cars. Thus Geneva Foreign & Sports was born in 1972 with the motto, "Anything and Everything European". Other family members also came onboard pooling their individual talents enabling Geneva Foreign & Sports to earn its reputation for the highest quality in service, integrity, professionalism, and a very extensive satisfied customer base.

Geneva Foreign & Sports grew as the motoring public of Upstate New York developed an appetite for safe, high quality cars. In addition, it has met its customer’s needs by extending their facility for the servicing and repairs of all makes and models. As a result, Geneva Foreign & Sports has grown into the one of the larger independent Volvo and Saab service and sales centers in Upstate New York, using the latest most sophisticated equipment in the industry.

As its reputation and business grew, Geneva Foreign & Sports built a new Sales Center in 1999. Geneva Foreign & Sports felt that it had to meet the high qualifications of the brands of vehicles that it sold and built a location of the highest quality.

In October 2002, Dan Jr. had ambitions beyond the normal business goals. His passion for Fine European Cars ... fast European cars, beyond normal aspirations. As a graduate of University of Rochester School of Engineering specializing in Optical Engineering, Dan Jr. began to work on his passion. In less than a year, and along with some of the most respected professionals in automobile business, the Geneva Foreign & Sports Hi-Tech Service Department was born. Many shops have tried to imitate our quality and what we have to offer but without success. With the addition of numerous Factory Diagnostic Computers and Tooling we are able to duplicate or surpass the level of quality only found at dealerships.

The new service department was only the beginning; Geneva Foreign & Sports has established relationships with many financial institutions, partly based on their own high standard of excellence, which has allowed us to help customers secure financing that was once only available from a dealership. Geneva Foreign & Sports will continue to feature more innovations in sales and service to help our customers.
